Exhibition in the context of 'Melmapalena'
Melmapalena that is the Afghan word for - loosely translated - hospitality: The granting of hospitality begins with the offering of food and drink in the field or in the restaurant and ends with the commitment of the life of the guest even at the risk of his own life. A good host can thus - in a peaceful way - increase his namus (honor) (this is how the Pashtuwali, the Afghan code of honor of the Pashtun tribal society, describes it).
In this context, 'Light and Shade' provided extraordinary insights into civilian and military work in the Hindu Kush for political stakeholders.
